🌌 Spotlight | 2025 Hehuanshan · Perseid Meteor Shower Tour
✨ Highlights
The Perseid Meteor Shower is one of the year’s three major meteor showers, famous for its swift meteors and occasional brilliant fireballs.
This year, during its peak on August 12, the predicted Zenithal Hourly Rate (ZHR) is about 100 meteors per hour, with around 60 visible under real observing conditions.
Although bright moonlight will be present, the occasional fireball streaking across the sky will still be breathtaking and worth witnessing.
In addition, at 3:00 AM on August 13, Venus and Jupiter will perform a romantic “Double Star Conjunction” low in the eastern sky. The two planets will be only 1° apart—their closest approach this year. Before sunrise, when the sky is still dark, dazzling Venus (-4 mag) and brilliant Jupiter (-1.9 mag) will rise together, creating a magical scene alongside the meteor shower.
